THE MAIN REASON WHY ABSA IS LOSING THOUSANDS OF CUSTOMERS TO CAPITEC DAILY...

If only I could give ABSA zero stars... I am sure you also have heard how customers are closing their ABSA accounts and moving to Capitec - thousands per day. I am next. Here's why. So, RAIN telecoms (another useless SA company) keeps on deducting money from my ABSA account, months after I have cancelled my contract with RAIN. So, I try to get help from ABSA... Firstly, Abby (their new toy) - ABSA's new virtual assistant - cannot help and send you back to the ABSA app. I cannot cancel the debitorder on the ABSA app, because it is more than R500. I went to my ABSA branch, they cannot do it (branch procedures do not allow for HELPING the customer, just aggrevating him/her more...). So, I was asked to phone ***. You will get better help by phoning the office of the President... Yes, Rampies does have a number, but it also does not get answered... After getting through on ABSA's ***number, the agent verified certain info (names, surname, id, account number, etc.) and then - WITH PRIDE - told me that I "am blocked from verification"... He cannot help me, because ABSA blocked me from being verrified. Another procedure to annoy (not assist) the customer. Do you now need to register to get an ABSA call centre agent to verify your details? If everybody is blocked from verification, the staff can have coffee all day and DO NOTHING! While all of this is happening, ABSA is pocketing hundreds of Rands of mine in "returned debit order fees". It make sense for ABSA not to help me. Blocking me from verification means they get more bank charges. So, I am going to the branch today to close my account. I will be ABSA customer 1001 that moves to Capitec TODAY. I even get lower fees and qualify for an overdraft. If you want a bank that is willing and able to help you, please STAY AWAY FROM ABSA. Don't say people did not warn you...
