The INSOLENCE of Absa Staff!

I have recently left the employ of Absa Bank and have a savings account with Absa.

Prior to this, I went to the Cresta Branch to amend the debit order dates of my Insurance and Bond Account from the 20th and the 25th to the last working day of each month going forward.

My last working day was "suuposed"to be 31st June 2017, however, I was "encouraged"to leave sooner by my line manager.

I was not afforded the opportunity to send/save my personal documents prior to being "encouraged" to leave.

Furthermore, I did not have the time to complete my check list upon leaving, such as enquiring on my bank account and staff rates vs normal rates, etc.

I was forced to used this as an advantage to start doing training for the new company I decided to join. this entailed extenve daily training (excluding weekends) from 8 - 5; leaving me with only weekends to take care of my personal business.

I went to different branches on 3 seperate occasions to deal with a consultant and was never advised on bank fees and the ludicrous charges incurrred on Saving Accounts.

Over above these branch visits with the consultants, I was at the Florida Branch one Saturday to query my bank charges/ transaction fees and again to the Horizon View Branch where I was told that the consultants were not availble to assist with my query. That I should return on a weekday instead.

Past Saturday, I was at the branch yet again to query the bank charges and request they be reversed. The consultant explained this can onyl be done at Campus Square where I opened my account.

When I went there yesterday (1 August 2017). the Branch manager arrogantly told me that this was not their fault and the owness is on me to change my details and she refused to reverse the charges without trying to understand my dilemma.

She was very impudent and somewhat arrogantly defiant in her response to me.

AND THEN TODAY... My SHort Term Insurance Debits my bank account AGAIN... AFTER DOUBLE DEBITTING my bank account on 01/07/2017 for R2234.79 AND TODAY for R1226.85 (Debit Order Amount INCREASED!?!?!)

When I called the bank to query this on ********** 600, they told me to call the insurance (also Absa)... when I asked for the number, "Boitumelo again simply said call your "insurance"...

when calling the contact number I have, the options do not include anything to do with "debit orders/payments/payment queries/speaking to a consulting for other queries"etc.

I AM LIVID!!!
