The Absa Rewards program is not user friendly and cannot be cancelled online.

<p>I find it unacceptable that you have to take the time to phone them and wait for a call agent to cancel your Absa Rewards. I do everything online and found that the rewards are not benificial, maybe because I dont have the time to figure out how to use them. I vissited an Absa branch before I left the country and was told that I cannot cancel it at the branch and that I had to contact the rewards department. I couldn't get hold of them and was running out of time. I am currently in China and will remain here indefinately. I sent them an email, (the same email format I sent to my medical aid and the gym) and was told by a consultant, via email, that the only way to cancel it is by phoning them. How is it possible that something as easy as a cancelation of a rewards program cannot be done online. So now I'll have to get access to international dialing just for this as eveything else including bussiness meetings and skyping home can be done online. Wake up Absa and get with the 21st century. Everything is online these days. I am very annoyed by this, guess I'll just continue paying the fee until I can get back to South Africa and move to FNB (A bank who cares about the needs of their customers)</p>
