Terrible service at giyani absa

Giyani ABSA is full of nonsense. The staff are so rude. I will never go there. In fact I'm never going to refer anyone there. My elderly mother went to giyani branch accompanied by me for SASSA Payout on the 30th of March. She doesn't have a SASSA Card since it was canceled after someone hacked her account and kept *****ing airtime from it. So since then she gets the money through ABSA using her finger print. On this day, she went to the branch as usual. After getting her money the teller did not give her the ID. She noticed that the ID was missing before she went out of the bank. We quickly went back to the teller while she was assisting the person who was behind us. The teller by the name, TINTSWALO was SO RUDE insisting that we were given the ID. We were made to literally pour out my mother's belongings out of the bag four times and still no ID. Meanwhile the ID was given to that very same man who she assisted after us. Another ABSA staff a man, was called to search my mother's bag to no avail. We asked for them to check cameras which they refused. This happened few days after lockdown started, home affairs wasn't working, which means my mom was left without an ID. After numerous visits to the bank, I had to do that as my mom had to go back home which is about 50km from the bank, I made so many phone calls to the bank trying to get them to at least check the cameras so we know what happened. But they kept telling me my mom is not so old that she can't notice she did not take her ID from the counter. I ended up communicating with Vutlhari Mavunda whom I was told is the manager who confirmed that the ID was indeed given to someone else after checking the cameras. Getting them to contact this person was a mission, they even refused to let us contact the person ourselves to get the ID. We tried police, it didn't work. We ended up being told the person can't bring the ID because of lockdown we will only get it on next payout day(4 or 5 may). Fast forward to 5th may, when we got to the bank, the vey same teller tintswalo told us rudely so that we must go do another ID, when I went to Vutlhari he kept ignoring me. So much struggle for an elderly who the bank lost her ID and was left stranded. I'm really disappointed in how our elderly are being treated under the mercy of the so called learned.
