TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!

I have requested my credit to be closed on Wednesday 2 August 2023 and followed up on numerous occasions. I was told 3 working days but still there are charges on the credit card yet I have asked for it to be closed. I went to the branch yesterday (4 August) and no one could assist me. Can someone please advise why ABSA cannot close my credit card and give me my paid up letter. It is not an unreasonable request. This is honestly poor service for something as simple as an account closure.
