Tax-free fix deposit account

Do not try to transfer your currant tax-free fixed deposit funds to ABSA’s tax-free fixed deposit account for a better interest rate. After more than two months of calling, sending emails and a lot of frustration with ABSA not having the ability to receive the funds, I re-invested the money with Nedbank. They were prepared to provide the same interest rate ABSA advertised plus the interest which I lost during that period.
