Tap payments
This tap function on the different cards are a security risk. This feature is just added with out the option to disable it. Phoning ABSA I am informed that any transaction under R200 do not need a password. Last night at a pay point the person takes my card and tap it. The amount was R376. No password asked????? The Absa consultant also say if transaction is made with this function and it is ********** then ABSA will pay it back. The ABSA website say that no re-payments will be made if a pin was not used and lost of card was reported immediately. Now I am asking if somebody finds your card and do 10 transaction under R200. Will this be refunded??? Remove this unsafe feature from my account. Please follow your own documents that we have to accept every time about pin codes and safeguarding our information.
