Surely not my own bank!

<p>App**** online for vehicle financing with ABSA. The consultant could not commit as to by when the application would be approved, safe to say that it would be within 72 hours. Today I received a call from ABSA informing me of the rate that they are willing to finance the transaction and that I would still need to wait for final approval before contact will be made with the car dealer. I subsequently spoke to the dealership who then submitted applications at 2 other banks who responded in less than TWO hours AND provided a better rate than my own bank. This after I informed the consultant that I am supposedly a prefered client and he should request for a preferential rate. Alas it shows that it is always better to shop around...</p>
