Super-bad Absa insurance service

Good day,

I have logged a claim with Absa on the 2nd of January 2016 as a geyser burst in my home and after three months it has finally been approved and work has now commenced. I still have outstanding questions and I have tried getting a response from Absa for 4 months, but nobody has called me. The assessor indicated that should anything else be seen as damaged while it is being fixed, it should also be logged. The assessor is not answering his phone (I think he might have resigned as representing Absa with this level of service can not be easy). My questions are:

1. The thermostat of the oven has been damaged and an electrician needs to come have a look - who organises this?
2. How will I be reimbursed for my loss of rental income?
3. How ill I be reimbursed for the water bill of R5500
4. The back-door has swollen after damages were logged - who would come verify this?

I am so disappointed in Absa's service and all I ask is for someone to contact me to answer these questions. No call-back in 4 months is simply unacceptable.

Regards

Tinus Potgieter
