#########My response to Absa dated 17 May 2019
Hi Marvellus,
Thank you for your response. No, nothing is in order.
The thing is the Sundry Item has not always been R141.50. It changes as and when Absa feels like it. If Sundry Item really represents the Extended Cover (R84.00), Service Fee (R50.00) and VAT payable on the Service Fee (R7.50), then the Sundry Item charge will forever remain the same i.e. R141.50 for the entire contract period whereas I have proof that it did change over time yet the cost of the Extended Cover, Service Fee and VAT payable thereon has not changed. See attached statements for the month of December 2018 (R385.92), April 2018 (R279.09), November 2018 (R1575.16) and January 2019 (R141.50). These are just a few examples.
I am very much inclined to refer this matter to the Credit Regulator and also place your response (together with this email) on social media as many other people have raised this issue and you have been consistent in providing inconsistent responses. "You" refers to Absa not you, Marvellus.
From your response, it is clear that I have been consistently overcharged and I want my money.
Please send me my entire account statement which reflects the Sundry Item charge over the contract period to date.
Kind Regards, Sikhumbuzo Mthembu

I am yet to receive a response from Marvellus and I have followed up and even contacted their client services but no one has a proper explanation. I have since forwarded my compliant to the Credit Regulator.
