Suddenly I am not authorised to reverse a ********** debit order on my account

ABSA is putting me in harms way by forcing me to go to a branch to reverse a ********** debit order. I fall in the vulnerable category of people who should avoid contact with others and who could die if they contract the virus. I am being forced to go to the bank because they have removed the ability to reverse a ********** debit order online.

Surprisingly for whatever reason I am now unable to reverse a ********** debit order on my account. I had a cell phone contract which finished mid October 2019. I cancelled the contract, but they still kept on debiting the amount, so I had to reverse it, even after asking the cellphone company to stop, it continued. It left me no option but to reverse the debit order every time it is debited. I visited my branch at Lyttelton to ask them to cancel it. The lady at the branch attempted to cancel it, but the debit orders still kept coming through, leaving me no option but to keep reversing it. Suddenly, when I wanted to reverse the latest debit of this company on my account, I receive a message on the online banking site that I am not authorised to do that any more. I have to go into the bank to do that. I then attempted to send the bank an email asking them to reverse it on my behalf, but no answer at all.

So, this morning I go to my local branch, just to find out that it is closed, then I go to the next much larger branch which is also closed. I was referred to the Centurion branch, but, after waiting for a very long time in the queue I really started to feel bad with headaches etc. so I quit standing in the queue. I feel that it is ridiculous that I have to wait hours in a queue to reverse a debit order which might still continue to be debited because I have done this before at my local branch with no success. So how can I be certain that it would be worthwhile going through all this as it didn't work last time??????
