Study loan

App**** for study loan for my granddaughter. Took approx 4 weeks and 4 email addresses before I eventually got a reply to say they had received docs required. That was about 10 days ago. Grand daughter in 2nd year . First year 6 distinctions. Have had accounts with ABSA for over 30 years. Was called Volkskas then. Have unit trusts, loans over the years, bond, savings acc and others. Why do they take so long, especially as they have 30 years of my dealings with them, have good record with them, to grant this loan? And has to be done over the Internet, I was told! Know of people who have gone to FNB, have no accounts there, can do it at a branch and can get a reply within an hour?? Where is ABSA service they always advertising? Phone the bank frequently, but person concerned does not return my calls. Cell number always goes to \ leave message\" - land line secretary always says is unavailable will phone you back. Very seldom happens!"
