Student loan issues. False hope.

To say I'm disappointed in ABSA is an understatement. I app**** and was approved for a student loan in 2020 for my girlfriends studies in that year for a two year course. So standard principle of a student loan at least in my mind is you pay the interest, the student studies and when they graduate they find work in this new field and begin paying off the actual loan. Well my approval for 2021 was turned down. So she now cannot enter the new field of work as her course isn't complete, we are left with paying the full amount monthly without her working in this field. What the hell absa? Simply put why approve my loan the first time around because all you've done is put both of us in a more difficult financial position than where we started. How is this helpful? So I was approved initially via phone call, email with details are sent, receive a message saying I need to re-apply. The money wasn't released and now I'm declined when I apply in branch?
