Struggling to close cheque account

I have been to Absa bank in Parow for a second time attempting to close my cheque account. I have been pushed from pillar to post being fed incorrect details of how about closing my account spent hours in the bank only now to be told after i made the payment that i need to return again to close the account. whereby i was informed the consultant will do everything else.And i refuse to spend another minute there as it is time consuming and misleading yet again.<br> Nobody can assist you cause each person has their own version of how to go about it but no solution received and i am still unable to close my account.<br> I had to already pay an amount of over R5500 for an overdraft which i have not used now that i have settled it i cant close my account.How difficult is it to do that and i think it is unacceptable and im highly irritated with the *********** staff.The reason for my closing my account is that the service received is **** and i have advised all my family members to close their accounts as well. I'm disgusted in this branches service and i will not be liable for any interest or any monies charged to this cheque account as i have paid it in full.
