Strangers who deliver credit cards taking pictures of ID

Credit Cards are now delivered by Courier. The problem is that these couriers are told to take a picture of the person's ID. This is absolutely ridiculous considering that from all sides people are warned NOT to share their private information. It's all good and well that the bank or the courier company tries to protect themselves but who is protecting the clients? Absa or the courier can claim to the heavens that they use trustworthy people, however they will not take responsibility if ID theft takes place because how would people be able to proof that it was from their side that the ID theft took place. It is understandable that a person should show their ID when a credit card is delivered but demanding that the courier is allowed to take a picture of an ID is totally UNACCEPTABLE! If Absa wants to show their clients that they really care for the clients security then they must stop this ridiculous system of taking pictures of peoples IDs.
