Stranger withdrew money with account holders ID

A stranger offered my grandmother (M.V Maphosa) help inside the bank. Assuming that the person works at the bank, the poor granny gave her ID to the stranger. That person then cleaned out the account of a an amount of over R 30 000.

The bank is not doing anything about this. How does one get access to another person's account using an ID that is not theirs?
All my grandmother is being told is that the money was withdrawn. They are not saying by who and how. They don't even bother to check their cameras. Nor are they even going to investigate this. They have no interest whatsoever.

They might be taking advantage of the fact that my grandmother is old and not that educated.
What kind of bank treats their clients like that?
It is quite clear that nobody's money is safe at Absa! I myself am switching banks!
