I'm writing today because of the way absa bank do what they want with our money. They took a journal debit of R1000 off my savings account to pay my credit card which I had already made an arrangement for. When I asked for the money back I was told it would be reversed and paid into my bank in 48 hours. This was on a friday midday. But by wednesday afternoon still nothing then I just get told by the 10 different numbers I was told to phone to just wait. I think absa are a bunch of *******. They don't have the right to take my money without my permission.

Took 2 weeks to get my R1000 back after absa stole it and then I get money paid into my account and what does absa do, that's right they take it again without my permission just this time they take more. They took R1606.83 this time. How can I trust absa with my salary when they just take what they want when they want. Now absa will have to investigate something they did and I must wait 2 weeks again to get MY money back. This time I will consult my lawyer to check what my rights are. I just paid R2500 which was the agreed upon amount from absa and then absa just take another R1606.83 because they think it is their right. I WANT MY MONEY BACK

13 Oct 2020, 10:51well got an apology from ABSA for once again steeling my money yet its still not returned to my bank and I'm now on day 3. this is the 3rd time ABSA have taken my money without permission. I will keep updating until I've eventually changed my bank. I really don't like doing this but phoning ABSA is not an option.
