Still I wait for Recoveries to Contact me

I contacted ABSA Recoveries two weeks back, to inform them that I am out of work its been over two months of non payment.I was a regular payer till now .Previously I got rentrenched after then I got a contacted job for 12 months and now I am currently at home.I have R10 000 I would like to settle the Personal loan of R20 000+.Spoke to a Consultant who said they limited to what percentage discount they can offer.She then said she will refer the matter to the supervisor as they are the only ones that can authorize the amount I want to pay.To date I am Still waiting I have not being contacted.Can someone please assist.My fear is using up the saved up money rather I settle my debt.
