<p>Due to unfortunate, unforeseen circumstances,I had to sell my house in 2009 at a lower amount than was owed on my bond to ABSA. I signed an acknowledgement of debt document with agreement to repay the shortfall. These insensitive, vindictive ineptocrates blacklisted me on ITC, despite the repayments made toward the recovery account, as agreed.</p> <p>The ITC listing expired within 5 years of having to pay everything cash, inability to purchase another house, vehicles (well, anything that requires hire purchase financing) because all finance applications are denied due to ITC status.</p> <p>In June 2016, we sold our 2008 petrol-guzzling American SUV due to age and constant repair cost. Found a lovely little Ford on special at the dealership. When applying for finance through Ford credit (guess who adminstrates it – ABSA) finance was denied because the Bond account is still in recovery, despite monthly repayments over the last 6 years, and despite clear record on ITC. MFC/Wesbank to the rescue, although the “special” discount of R30,000 only applies through the in-house finance.. So had to pay full price.</p> <p>In September 2016, my Absa cheque account overdraft of R2000 was cancelled, even though it has been in effect for over 10 years, during the whole ordeal with them. NOW all of a sudden, the fact that the bond account is still in recovery, (again,despite monthly repayments over the last 6 years as agreed) is a massive problem. The *********** nose scratcher who phoned me could not even explain exactly what the reason for the sudden cancellation, without any notice whatsoever is. I have been paying some money into the account over the last few weeks, and despite the fact that the balance is at under R500 owing to this ineptocritical institution, I still get phonecalls, messages and registered, insured letters.
