Steeling from pensioners
On the 24th of June 2020 an amount of plus minus R8500.00 was ****** from my Uncle's account. They waited till my aunt put in the pin and then distracted her exchanging her card with another one. Now the bank recons if you gave them your pin you will not be refunded. SHE DIDN'T GIVE THEM THE PIN, THEY WAITED TILL SHE TYPED IT IN. How is this her fault. Why are there no security guards at Absa Cycad in Polokwane??!! There have been numerous armed ******ies at those atms and also people being shot. Now the bank just pull up their shoulders. Banks have insurance for these type of things and I expect Absa bank to refund the amount ****** from them as they are pensioners and do not have money to waste.

04 Jan 2021, 15:37There was also money ****** from my father's account over a period of time under the description of a loan. My father has never in his life had a loan. I have posted previously on Hello Peter but up to date nobody bothered to sort this out. His account number was ***. JH Viljoen. We had to have the account closed and open a new account to stop them from *****ing from him. How does this work that money gets ****** from pensioners and nobody does anything about it? Everybody just pulls up their shoulders as if to say it's not their problem. In the meantime these pensioners have no money. My father has since passed away and I expect Absa bank to pay the money back to my mother asap. This is nonsense that people have to struggle to get their money back from a bank if the bank has insurance for things like this. I will never recommend Absa bank to anybody not with the way they work with their clients who have been banking with them for many years.
