Status not updated on the trans union

Good day<br> <br> My loan with ABSA was paid off in 2012, and last I checked on Trans Union it was showing that it has been paid off and closed.<br> <br> To my worry this morning after 3 years it has popped up again on the Trans Union and stating that I am owing ABSA R 5837,00 and monthly instalments is R 965,00.<br> <br> Does this mean that you as ABSA Bank will start deducting a loan which was paid up 3 years ago from my bank account? Please advise as I am not happy with this. This is affecting my credit record, and I believe I am not the right person to educate ABSA Bank that once a loan has been paid up they should update the status as closed and inform the credit bureau.<br> <br> I would appreciate if this could be sorted asap as I can not even get through to these ABSA numbers aswell ***<br> <br> Kind Regards,<br> <br> Portia Malinga<br> <br> <br>
