Spotlight on Absa Actionline Service Delivery

For some time now, Absa Actionline fails to deliver meaningful solutions relative to the ask of queries submitted.

Turnaround Times Firstly, the Absa Actionline automated response to a complaint / query, commits to a turnaround time within 8 business hours. In reality, the experience is often 3 workdays to receiving a notification affirming a case agent is assigned along with the advisory that it may take a further 2 to 3 workdays until the next response, subject to complexity of the ask.

Resolution Relevance Secondly, when a resolution is eventually provided, it is mainly unrelated to the ask presented as a standard vanilla copy-paste response i.e. generic information freely available off of the Absa web portal.

Case Management Thirdly, following the provision of a vanilla-type response, the case is summarily closed without constructive follow up to affirm whether the resolution provided is satisfactory or not.

Writer is of the opinion the Absa Actionline focus might be misplaced; Based on own experience, rather than providing meaningful solutions, it appears efforts are directed to satisfying internal SLAs / KPIs metrics instead, leaving customers with unrelated, inconsequential and asinine responses received way later than committed timelines.

These findings are relevant warranting further investigation if Absa is serious about providing professional and proper service delivery to it's customers.
