Horriid, Horrid, Horrid!!!!! I use a credit card and have both my credit and cheque accounts linked to it. I never ever withdraw from the credit account because oh well they charge you interest on withdrawals even if you keep a positive balance, along with petrol purchases, airtime and inter account transfers if you didn't know. When i do withdraw cash it's almost always below R500 and always from my cheque account. I needed to withdraw R2000 for my child minder today, total nightmare. First atm i went to gave me a ''transaction limit reached 93'' error, i thought the atm had a limit since it's month end and it's a standalone. I go to a branch atm and i get the same error. Well anyway, i call the ''premium banking'' hotline, i'm told that i have a R1000 withdrawal limit on my cheque account even though i've withdrawn that much before and the app says my limit is R5000. I'm told they can change it for me if i'd like, to which i happily oblige. Agent says how much? and i say set my cheque account withdrawal limit to R5000 please. He tells me it's done and i sit in another queue and try withdrawing R2000 again and as you'd expect, i get another error, this one says ''transaction unsuccessful, please try again''. Totally defeated i figure i'll try 2x R1000 withdrawals, aaaaand as you'd expect, another error. I call back fuming and the same agent says everything seems fine on my side, he doesn't know what could be wrong hes says. I gave up at that point and fortunately had funds in my Capitec account so i went with that. I suppose the only thing that'll fix this is a visit to a branch, probably with a 45 minute wait considering it's month end. If you were considering joining Absa or borderline about leaving then this is your answer, don't bother So much for ''premium banking'', useless
