So dissapointed
I went to Absa Brits for the third time today only to be told my documentation is still not what they want and I need to go back AGAIN. When I went to the branch the first time it was to find out what documents they need to help me. I prepared everything and went back the next day. After standing in the que for almost half an hour I got to the counter and was informed that they can't use this document, there is an additional form that needs to be filled out(nothing about that was mentioned to me the previous day). This form needs to be Commisoned by A Commissioner of Oath. The employee not specifying anything I took it as any Commisoner of Oath. Today I went to the branch for a third time. Only to be informed again that I MUST take it to the police station to sign and stamped. Again none of that was shared with me. I understand that certain documentation must be correct and filled out. I understand that from the bank's side there is certain processes and procedures in place, I really do. But how am I supposed to know all of this if I am not informed by the people who is supposed to deliver a service. The people who work with this every day?
I am most definitely not one of Absa's biggest or wealthiest clients, but I have always been a loyal en supporting customer(for the last 17 years). I have always recommended Absa.
But after this experience and being treated the way I was treated the last two times I went to the branch, I will never recommend Absa to anyone in our area knowing they will have to deal with employees like that.
I have been to branches where they have someone standing at the door and moving around asking clients what they are there for and checking their documentation. Not one of the three times I was there I saw someone doing that. Maybe if they try that it won't be necessary for a 38 week pregnant lady to go back and go back and go back and stand in the que only to get to the counter to be shown away again.
