Settle a loan and still liable for the full interest!!

<p>I app**** for a personal loan of R100 000 with an interest of 28.75% over a period of 72 months at Absa on 2015-12-14. I have been paying an installment of R3000 for exactly 18 months now and want to settle the loan. The total amount that I have payed up untill now is R54 000. The settlement amount that Absa gives me is R92 000. The personel inside the branch cannot provide me with any help or info regarding the insane settlement amount. I phoned "New line applications" and the cannot help me either. I phone "Collections" department who is actually working loan payments and they cannot help me either. Apparently they can only give me a settlement amount and no other info. Think I must glose my bank account with Absa and move over to Standard bank!</p>
