SENT FROM PILLAR TO POST
On 18/01/2016 Marlene from Ooba submitted a bond application on my behalf. I received a letter saying that I should submit supporting documents within 2 days. I sent the documents back immediately (my pro-forma salary advice, bank statement proving that my ex-husband is paying maintenance monthly, an email from an attorney that confirms that my ex-husband agreed to pay the amount specified). ABSA says, the email and bank statement are not enough. The attorney must give me an official letter on the letterhead. The attorney needs me to make an appointment with him, pay the consultation fee, pay for the letter. Is this fair? I have been a loyal client of ABSA. I didn't ask to be in the situation I am in. I have just recovered from a divorce. I need a home for my children who are both minors. Why should I struggle like this to get a home loan? Why can't you say you won't give me a loan instead of sending me from pillar to post. You have seen my decree of divorce, I bank with you, I submitted additional bank statements for maintenance, I submitted my qualifications, I motivated my application, I submitted my provident fund statement, I have a life policy with ABSA. You are so impossible
