****med by ABSA!!

I had a Cheque account with ABSA in 2018 which was in arrears with an amount of R1669.80 in June 2018 as I was unemployed at the time and couldn't pay the settlement amount.

After a few months, I was employed by a certain company and was fortunately contacted by ABSA in October 2018 stating that my account is arrears with an amount of R1669.50 and my account is at risk of being handed over to the attorneys.

Because now I was employed and wanted to keep my record clean, one of their agents gave me a new settlement amount of R1447.50 and to close the account but only if I made the payment in that month of October 2018, so I agreed to make the settlement.

Now my question is, why is the Cheque account not closed when settlement amount was paid.

Now I'm being contacted by the attorneys telling me that am I still owing ABSA an amount of R722. Is it my fault that your agents didn't close that Cheque Account?

Marco Martin provided me with a false email for me to request call recordings from (***) which the Domain doesn't exist.

I bet I'm not the only one who has been ****med by ABSA like this.

I don't owe ABSA a cent and I will not pay a cent.
