**** DEBIT ORDER: "EPIC3 INTER GLO44697 NLNOG"

I've had a debit order of R111 for a transaction quoted "Epic3 Interglo44697 NLNOG" go off on my account. I'm so revolted with ABSA that clearly allows these ****s to occur even with processes like "DebiCheck" in place. I have never authorised this debit and it doesn't even appear on the list of transactions I can reverse. To add insult to injury, I would no doubt be liable for the admin charge for its reversal. This is unprofessional, unacceptable and breaching customers' financial safety.

Why does ABSA allow such risk to their customers? How are you protecting us???? PLEASE ANSWER THIS ASAP and reverse this transaction ASAP!!!!

Pravesh, I have received your email and have a few issues with your response:Right off the bat, the problem with your statement/argument is that there are numerous reports existing online accounts referring to the illegitimacy of this "External, Epic3 Interglo44697 NLNOG" *******. Absa needs to, at some point, take some responsibility for the security of their customers - otherwise, why should we trust you with the safety of our most valuable possessions?
Secondly, it is wholly disrespectful and unprofessional of you to assume and conclude that I have agreed with any third-party company to debit my account without explicit proof that I in fact have.
Thirdly, to now force me to visit a branch especially in the time of Covid 501Y.V2 is quite ridiculous. I now have to go into a physical bank, and risk exposure to the virus just because my bank didn't put in place any protocol to block me from a known and proven threat??! Pathetic.
When is ABSA going to do better than this?! It's 2021!!!!!! These evasive, nonchalant, non-commital responses that seem to put you off the hook and shake-off any liability ARE NOT ENOUGH!!!

DISGRUNTLED AND EXTREMELY ANNOYED CUSTOMER!!
