Sad and unfair
Dear ABSA
I was thrilled to have completed my debt review three months ago after over three years of consistently making substantial monthly payments on time. I eagerly anticipated purchasing my first home. However, I was disappointed to receive an offer for only 85% financing. Despite having a strong credit record, errors made by my debt review company have negatively impacted my credit score. Specifically, some settled accounts are incorrectly listed as missed payments. I have my paid-up letter and clearance certificate on hand if someone can review these, please.
Additionally, the debt review company failed to cancel my life insurance policy in a timely manner, further affecting my credit score. As a result, my Experian score has dropped from 673 to 651. While this score is still relatively good, it is disheartening to receive an 85% financing offer when I am confident in my ability to afford the home.
Constant hard inquiries have caused even more damage to my good score, which I find really unfair. My credit ratings are still decent on both TransUnion and Experian.
I just wish someone could acknowledge the errors made and give me a chance to prove myself.
I was planning on moving my accounts over to ABSA after this.
