Rude staff and long queues at Absa

My 91 year old Mother has been banking with ABSA since 30 years. Due to the circumstances related to COVID19 I recommended her to do Online banking.I registered her account for Online banking and got the message that only viewing is possible. For setting the payment limits she has to go to a branch. Her branch is in Somerset-West Mainroad, which has been closed since the Lockdown. The only open branch in Somerset West is at the Habitat Centre at Somerset Mall. Day before yesterday (05.08. - very cold weather and ice cold wind) I went with her to that branch expecting a queue, I hired a wheelchair while normally she doesn't need any walking aids. So, standing for half an hour in that queue with ice cold wind I supposed she was gonna die with pneumonia and went in front asking the ABSA lady in front of the entrance door very politely if my 91 year old Mother would not have any preferences to skip the queue. In a very rude way she said: "NO, THERE IS THE END OF THE QUEUE". Very frustrated we went back. After another half an hour I noticed that we would have to stand in that ice cold wind for minimum another hour - so we gave up. It's just a shame how very long customers are treated by obviously untrained staff. I think I need to draw my mother over to my bank where such an incident never ever would happen.
