Rude and unprofessional behavior

After sending supporting documentation to open up an account twice as per request to ********** and ********** I received a call requesting for the documentation to be sent AGAIN! During this call, the Absa/Virgin representative hijacked the conversation and completely avoided questions on why this had to be done a third time (even though there has been no feedback on the first 2 document submissions).

I requested to be escalated to a manager to get some answers, I was escalated to Reinhard, who played the same tactics by keeping quiet when given a chance to speak and talking when I was talking. Reinhard would also ignore any and all direct questions and then came to the conclusion that I don`t want to be assisted, and hung up the telephone without providing any assistance.

Perhaps you can answer the questions which I stated to Reinhard here on this public forum: 1. Why do the same documents need to be submitted via 3 different channels? 2. Why are these channels not checked for submissions before contact is made with the client to request re-submission 3. Why is honest feedback not appreciated? Would you prefer to rather lose customers than to receive and take the feedback to heart?

I will await your response on this forum

Hi there Almero C

Thank you for the response.

In order to answer the above questions, we would need to investigate what happened on the application and why documentation was requested again.

For this we would need the application reference numbers or alternatively your ID number.

Regards

The Virgin Money Team

Best regards,

AC

Kindly note the above questions are not case specific, but rather the general modus operandi of your system. Hence, you are more than welcome to answer the questions without this information.

Hi there Almero C

We will gladly answer the questions on this forum, however would need to investigate what happened with the application and if the application might have expired, therefore triggering the notification for new documentation.

If a second application was done, this will not link back to the first application and the system automatically will issue a message for documentation.

The system will work on a case by case number and therefore will link documentation received, to the application number.

We do apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused.

Regards

The Virgin Money Team

Best regards,
