We tried to pay a beneficiary from a testamentary trust which we have been doing for many years. We got the message to "verify beneficiary" which we did several times. We phoned the bank to be told that the trust account must be FICAed. We were also told that we can only make payments after 7 working days after we present FICA papers.

No pre-stoppage notice was sent the widow and a child cannot be paid ! After a couple of hours of being told to telephone different numbers, and number of which didn't seem to be working, we finally found somebody you sent to us by email we must send the following list of FICA requirements. No mention of deferral of the FICA so that we could pay the with your child, just send the documents.

Hope somebody in management sees this and changes the rules/procedures to give notice to an account holder well before FICA is needed. Freezing an account without notifying the client 1st is just *******. ****** move millions with no problems at all honest people are harassed without prior notification. This ******* service we get charged exorbitant fees !
