Ripoff for cash deposits

I happened to come into some money which was deposited into my ABSA account today. Imagine my horror to discover that I had been charged R931 for a teller to go to the immense effort of putting the cash through a machine. I have been a loyal customer for 25 years and now I've had enough. Why was I not warned that this would be charged for the deposit? Time to move to another bank.
