Ridiculous Bank charges

I have been paying over R800.00 of bank charges at Absa since May,i noticed that its really bad I paid R2200,then it jusr became worse over the months,last month which is end of novermber,i was charged R1500.00 ,its a cheque account that I have been using for a year now but don't understand the bank charges,they say they charge R150.00 for dishonored debit orders but I only had about 2,i went to the bank to get an explanation but no one could tell me why they are so extremely high.
