Replacement of expiring card
I received 2 SMS from ABSA stating that my Debit Card is going to Expire in December 2017 and i need to either go in branch to get a new card or order one via the App.
The App only allows for me to Stop and Replace the card and i dont wish to stop it as i was still using the card, quite a schlep as almost all of the major banks allow you to order a new card online and it is delivered.
I than drag myself off to the Absa branch in Campus Square on Saturday, to get a replacement card and that was done, i told the consultant that i am rather unhappy about me coming into the bank to get a replacement card and i also want to complain about Denniss Peterson as he offered no alternative when i asked why the App does not allow to order a replacement card and he did not take note of it or escalate the matter..
i than get a new card and asked why does the debit card not be personalised like my credit card with my name and surname i was just told i need to pay for that, that is rather ridiculous. i never paid for such with the credit card.
lastly i am now trying to buy online and the system keeps telling me that i am not authorised to use my card, what the heck now???
i really hope you do not tell me that i now need to go into the bank again, why was what ever needed to be done, done on Saturday rather apalled at the process and schlep of having to order a new card
