I visited the Absa Westgate Branch on Saturday the 08th and spoke to a lady named Angela, she advised that I should send an email to the consultant that assisted me and request the matter to be re-opened as there was no resolution to the case. She advised that the agent who opened the case should send them an email and request the Absa Branch to refund the R150.00x2 rejected debit order fees. Only to find that she had already closed that case without resolution. Currently the account is in arrears amount of R710.00 off which I informed her that I am liable for the account fees of R410.00 once the issue of the returned debit order is sorted.
The agent who opened the cheque account name is Tevin who was supposed to inform me of the pros and cons of the account and he failed to do so. I will not be held accountable for the rejected debit order fees as the information was withheld from me, I would have made an informed decision whether to open the account or not.
