Register for online banking

<p>I have a new home loan from ABSA. Try to register for online banking. Sorry, you have to go to the branch. Go to the branch. Sorry, you need a Transact account. Takes two consultants to go through the process. An hour later I have a debit card and two pin numbers. Great. Try again to activate/log on. No success, home loan account not linked, and I do not have an access account number. Phoned ABSA. A quarter of on hour on hold, due to large call volumes, I can only imagine why. Sorry. You have to go back to the branch. </p> <p> </p> <p>I am not going back to the branch and lose another hour of work. Two hours of productivity is already a huge waste for something I can do at FNB in a couple of minutes.</p>
