Refusal to pay damage covered by insurance Claim no. ***
On Thursday early morning my geyser burst flooding my spare bedroom, passage and veranda. The tiles started lifting due to the (hot) water from overflow. The ceiling in the spare bed also damaged. Tiles at the entrance of the next door bedroom entrance also started lifting - They refuse to replace or fix the floor tiles. The assessors report says the tiles lifted due to the water from the geyser!!!

14 Aug 2019, 15:43Hi Basani
The matter of case C -***4 as come so far as firstly the ABSA representative told me the report of Tshwaneng construction is not the same they send me(which they refuse to pay for the tiles). So eventually I send ABSA the the report Tswaneng construction send to me. Eventually ABSA told me one of their assessors will come. Now he said there were no expansion joints in the tiles. I moved into this house on the !st February 2001( 3 months after I bought it) with the same tiles still in this house. I never claimed a tile. Now they come and tell me I must pay 50% of replacing the tiles. I'm a pensioner I battle to come through the month how must I pay for this. I pay my insurance. How does this happen. Completely unfair.
Regards Philip
