Really Bad service and misleading advertising

I just had a really bad experience at Towers East (Absa) Weisenhof. I wanted to purchase a chocolate croissant (advertised on the board at R16.50). When I went to pay - I was told by an assistant there that they couldn't help me - because they didn't know the price - as the price advertised is incorrect. (and that they had to phone and get the details). I waited there for 15 minutes - while the staff behind the counter - discussed who they should call for the 'correct price' as the advertised price (is not the right one).

So why display something for sale if you don't have a price for it nor is it on your till as a item to ring up. and you keep telling me to wait. While you are trying to call someone.

So the advertise board with the prices - that is clearly advertised for all to see - is wrong. Is this misleading advertising. - Are all the prices on there wrong - and the till is just ringing up what they like.

Weisenhof products and services are normally great - so what happened at the satellite - bad service.. wrong prices... no code on the till to pay for it.

It is such a pity that a small branch has tarnished their good name.
