Raided for bank charges

Two months ago I sent an email requesting absa to stop the debit orders in my account due to me not affording the R150 which it charges whenever the debit order bounces. They did not respond until today whereby I was called by MBD attorney's wanting to raid me for bank charges Mind you this account does not have an overdraft facility. Absa stop taking advantage of your clients.
