R55 per month to access my own bank statements from Absa

Absa has just informed me that it is going to cost me R55.00 per month if I want to access MY archived statements.

I need 2 years worth. That means they expect me to fork out R1,320 JUST TO PRINT OUT PIECES OF PAPER OF MY OWN STATEMENTS.

ARE THEY PRINTING ON GOLD BARS?!?!?

Very disappointed with this ******* price. I think I need to change banks.

I have sent Absa my details. I have made them aware that I expect a response soon to my complaint. I also expect to be kept in the loop as to where they are with regards to solving this complaint. I am considering changing banks due to Absa's ridiculous charges so hopefully they can resolve this to my benefit. I will keep this post updated with Absa's responses.
