R 90 000 Deposit on a R 169 000 car deal

Bought my car from SA Motorcoporation 2022 December and ABSA financing the deal. If I am not mistaken the car was R 169 000 and was told that I needed to pay a Deposit of R90 000. I am paying more than R 2300 a month.

I paid and thought that the amount will be used to pay part of of the asking price. It's 2026 but me balance is still close to R 90 000. Kanti vele what's the use of the the Deposit if the balance stays the same after 4 years. I paid more than 10% of the asking price but I see no changes. Is this how things work of the car financing world? What am I missing?
