Problems with Prepaid Electricity
I have several properties and use a lot of prepaid electricity. ABSA internet bank only allows a maximum of R1000 per transaction and a daily limit of R2000 per day. The online app does not allow me to increase this limit. I contacted the call centre and I was told it is a default setting and clients cannot increase it. Another problem. The proof of payment for prepaid electricity is send by email with a desktop browser, but I do not receive it when I make a purchase throught the Android app. I am aware that you can specify the email address on the app, but it does not work.

They admitted that the limit on prepaid electricity is a problem for many customers and that the technical team is working on it.
An IT specialist can probably fix the problem in a couple of seconds, but they hope to increase the limit before the end of the year.
Luckily, I have alternative options available.
