Power of Attorney
I am trying to get a Power of Attorney on my mother's account. My mother had a stroke and cannot go into a branch to do this. I sent a mail to ABSA customer service. To which the reply was it has to be done at a branch. All that is needed is her ID and my ID book. I went into ABSA Oakfield who informed me to contact the nearest branch to her and they will send out a bank official to assist her.
I called ABSA Hydepark who said I need a lawyers letter for the Power of Attorney.
Can someone please assist? I have been pushed from pillar to post for over 3 month now.
