Possible ***** and POPIA infrindgement

I received a message that someone opened a credit card from ABSA and I called the ***** line. They told me that my ID number is not linked to any active account from ABSA. I politely asked them to remove my number from their database and they agreed to do that. Today 05/12/2023 I received messaged of transactions happening on that account. I called ABSA ***** line again of which I'm using my time and money to do that. I was on hold for more that 15 minutes only to be told that they will get in contact with their client to resolve this issue. Someone is using my contact number and I'm number sure whether this is a ****mer who opened a credit card with my details or a mistake. Someone in some branch didn't his/her work properly or it is a deliberate act of *****. Can someone competent act quickly and sort this issue out. My contact number is *** and the all these transactions seem to be happening in Durban whereas I live in Gauteng. One of the messages reads as follows: "Absa: SAVE9117, Wthdr, 05/12/23 RASC DURBAN - ATM WITHDRAWAL, R-1000.00, AVAILABLE R3,155.10. Help ***; DUMABB 067"
