Poorer than poor service
My father in Law passed away in February 2021. I was appointed by my Father in Law as his state executor and appointed my brother (attorney) in his personal capacity to act as state executor on my behalf. After a long frustrating experience with the Masters Court in Mahikeng, he was officially appointed as state executor in June 2023. The estate was advertised in the Government Gazette. Since then he is struggling with ABSA to close my father in law's accounts and pay the relevant funds over to the attorney, in order to settle the estate. I have correspendence between the lawyer and ABSA to proof this. It seems to me that Absa isn't interested or willing to help their customers. A one star rating is still very lenient. I am not a client of Absa and with this experience I won't even consider Absa as the financial institution of my choice.
