Poor Service from ABSA Secunda Mall.

I received very bad treatment at ABSA Secunda Mall when I went to the branch for a funeral policy claim on the 26th of October 2022. I promised myself that I will submit this review when I get time during my December/January Leave. I was assisted by a lady called Enhle. She was not wearing a name tag and I had to ask someone else for her name. I don't know why they are even allowed to work if they don't have a name tag. She was so unfriendly and her aim was just to reduce the long queue, she was not interested in offering me quality service. She told me that they don't take copies certified by SAPS, and that they need the original documents to certify them at the bank. I was so shocked cause I have never heard of this. I have submitted a number of claims to ABSA branch at Secunda, outside the mall. I have been a customer of ABSA life since 2007. This meant that I had to drive to Newcastle to get the original documents at home. I argued this until she gave me the forms and asked me to fill them. I quickly completed the forms and then set there for 30 minutes without her coming back to assist me futher. She was totally ignoring me and focusing on reducing the line. I was so close to leaving the bank when her manager, Precious Nkosi (who was wearing her name tag), came and asked if I have been assisted. She then took the documents, scanned them and emailed them to ABSA life. She copied me to the email she sent to ABSA life. I told her about the poor experience I got from Enhle. She apologized on her behalf. I tried to let it go but every time I pass this ABSA branch my blood just boils when I remember the poor service I got from this branch. I am looking at other options to move my funeral policies to an institution that will appreciate my business and give me good treatment. Consultants like Enhle are not reflecting the Africanacity that ABSA is standing for. If I come to claim for funeral policy it means that I am already going through painful emotions and I do not need additional stress from unfriendly and unprofessional consultant from the bank. I just need clarity for future refences if Absa does not trust SAPS for certification of documents and prefers their unprofessional consultants to do certification? I was expecting the policy claim to be declined as Enhle had advised that documents should be certified by them. I was surprised when the claim was approved with the SAPS certified documents that ABSA Secunda Mall does not want. It is really unprofessional for consultants to work without their name tags. If they forgot them at home, please give them a chance to go and fetch them, unless this branch is working in an unprofessional manner as well
