Poor Service from Absa Homeloans & Absa Customer Resolution

The service from Absa Homeloans and Absa Customer Resolution Department is appalling. Absa Homeloans deducted an amount off my Access Bond Facility with no prior notification being given.

The reason they have provided for this is to keep the instalment the same amount as to what it was originally to cater for interest rate hikes. This does not make sense to me as interest has went up by over 50% over the past 10 years, so why do this now.

Also, if I did not have any Access Bond Facility available, how would Absa have performed this act.

Subsequent to the initail e-mail fowarded by me to Absa on 14 February 2025, I have fowarded 9 further e-mails both to Absa Homelans and Absa Customer Resolution (Mapula Motloutsi) requesting before and after calculations to illustrate the value that this entire exercise has achived amongst other queries, and to date no luck. The last e-mail received from Mapula Motloutsi dated 31 March 2025 stated that she was to respond the next day, and to date no response has been received. I have subsequently fowarded another e-mail to Absa Actionline where they have responded that another Agent (Mavis Mudzimu) will make contact within 2-3 working days from 30 April 2025 and still no contact. The landline number that Absa Customer Resolution department provided for queries (011- ***) does not get answered.

Absa Homeloans, your service is totally unacceptable. What is shocking is that Absa's escalations department (Absa Customer Resolution) also exhibits extremely poor levels of customer service. It almost seems that Absa Customer Resolutions department needs a Customer Resolutions department as well.

Totally dissatisfied Client being with Absa for over 20 years.
