POOR SERVICE
I was at ABSA bank Glenfair on Friday 31 July 2015 between 1pm and 2pm. It was lunch hour, end of the week and end of the month and the bank was extremely busy. There were long queues at both the tellers and the customer care points.

Out of a possible 8 service points only 4 were open - 2 on each side. While the queue was getting longer one of the tellers suddenly shut her service point and left, leaving only one teller in attendance. The customers were stunned and shocked because we had been standing in the queue for about 20 minutes.

One of the customers at the rear of the queue, an elderly black gentleman, complained and asked to see the manager. A lady then appeared and said that she was the manager. He then pointed out the problem to which she rep**** that the teller was on lunch and we had to be patient.

This is truly the most shocking example of poor and indifferent management that I have ever encountered. If it had not been for the fact that to close my account there and then would create tremendous problems for me, I would have done so.
