Poor Debit Card Renewal Information For A savings Account

Terrible customer service relating to a debit card renewal for a savings account.

I enquired in the Glenfair branch what documentation I need to request a new debit card and the consultant advised me that I will only need a ID document and at the moment they do not have blank savings account debit cards. Two weeks later I was in the vicinity of the same branch and I decided to take the time to get my new card only to be informed that they need a proof of address as well because the proof of address that are on the system is outdated.

A} Why didn't the consultant asked that I hand my ID book in so that she can check how old the proof of address is?

B] Why didn't the consultant asked when I opened the account and how old the proof of address is?
